Alegra had Tubes put in both ears and her adenoids removed this morning. I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to have the surgery because she picked up a cough in Wisconsin, but her oxygen levels looked good this morning at pre-op so we went ahead. We checked in at Primary Children's Hospital in Riverton at 6:20 a.m. (we left the house at 5:45). Alegra went in for surgery at 7:30 and was done at 8:00 a.m. Coming too was a little rough for her. She was crying, threw up, and was in pain. Once we got her stopped throwing up and got some pain medicine in her she slept for about 30 minutes in the post op room. She was doing better when she woke up from that little nap. We were able to leave the hospital at about 10:20 a.m. I hope it was worth it. She got a double ear infection about a month ago and that was about the 5th one she has had this past spring and fall so we decided it was time! Right now (about 1:30 p.m.) she is bouncing around doing exercises, seeming pretty good. I am trying hard to keep her mellow today and tomorrow :).
Shawn stayed home this morning and got Cruz on the bus at 8:32 and then took Lexi over to my friend/neighbor Summer's house. Summer is Tyler's mom (Alegra's bud). I picked up Lexi at 11:00 a.m. and Summer said she did great!
So this morning when we left at 5:45 a.m. there was about an inch of snow on the ground and it is a chilly, snowy day today!
