SCARY!!!!!!!

So yesterday Cruz had a bit of a meltdown after he missed 1 word on his spelling test (I grade the spelling tests on Friday afternoon for Mrs. DiPietro, Cruz brings them home from school).  We had practiced a lot this week for spelling but Mrs. DiPietro usually throws in words that aren't on the spelling list but follow the same concept of what they are working on.  He missed one of those random words.  He was extremely upset and after trying to console him I had to send him to his room.  He was throwing things, etc, but I just left him up there to sort it out.  I went up once to try and talk to him but he didn't let me in. After about 20 minutes he came downstairs. He had calmed down and wanted to play with Alegra and Tyler (he was the school teacher for them). They had set up a whole school in the basement.  I was happy he snapped out of it.  I didn't think twice about going upstairs to check his room. I knew it was probably a mess, but I thought he would clean it up before bed.  We spent most of the afternoon downstairs and then we walked Tyler home.  At about 5 I had this inkling to go upstairs and fold the dried laundry, but I was right in the middle of dinner so I decided after dinner.  Shawn came home and we had a nice dinner.  After I had finished cleaning up I went upstairs to fold laundry (it was about 7 p.m.).  I could smell this horrible plastic burning smell. I panicked. I started looking all over.  I went into Cruz's room and he had moved T's tupperware and in the process one of the lamps that we have clipped onto the tupperware had fallen on the carpet, bulb side down against the carpet STILL ON!!!!  It had burned a whole in the carpet, but we are so truly blessed and watched over that our house didn't start on fire, seriously a MIRACLE!!!!

It smelled so nasty in Cruz's room we had him sleep in Alegra's room and made it a little sleepover. Alegra was excited!!! The fumes were nasty smelling.  Again I can't count my blessings enough!!!!
