Cruz's 1st Lacrosse Game
Cruz had his first Lacrosse Game today. He did great. I didn't get a picture of him this week but I did get a couple of pictures of Lexi wanting to wear Cruz's cleats before the game!!
Bell Canyon
Shawn got out for a hike together for the first time in a long time, thanks Grammy for coming to watch the kids this morning!
We look tired because we both are, we stayed up late for us to watch a movie the night before and then Alegra was up during the night, but worth being tired to hike a bit!

Shawn's Birthday- 37!!!!
The kids and I made a fun sign to put across the garage for daddy to see when he got home from work. They thought it was so funny to see daddy drive the truck through the sign. We had a very nice night. We went down to this Mexican restaurant in Draper called, Guadalahonkeys. It was decent Mexican food, the main reason we chose there is because it was close to a High School Lacrosse game happening Friday night. We thought we should have Cruz (and us) see a real game before his first game. We went over to the Bengals vs. Corner Canyon High School game. It was fun to see a real game. At half time the kids could go out to the field and try shooting at the goal for a prize. Cruz and Alegra both enjoyed that. We left after half time to go home and open presents and have cheesecake (Shawn's request for his birthday cake). Dad got "Battleship" from the kids and I got him a couple pair of nicer shorts and a swim trunk. Don't know if they will go back or not :). By that time it was getting pretty late. We sang "Happy Birthday" to dad and had some cake and then it was time for bed. Shawn and I stayed up and watched a movie (which we haven't done in a while). It was a fun night and we hope we made Shawn feel special, because we love him so much!!!

Great Ski Day!
After Cruz's school performance grammy and I dropped the girls off at home and Madison O'Connor (our neighbor) came over to babysit. She had the day off of school so it was perfect. Grammy and I got to ski at the "Bird" for a couple of hours and then she had to take Sharon (Ali's friend who came into town to help out because Ali is in her second week of treatment for Colon Cancer) to the airport. It was fun to get up there. I felt a little guilty because it was Shawn's birthday and he should have been the one up skiing and having fun, but lately he has been slammed at work and he couldn't take the time off to get some turns in.
My mom still loves to ski but she really doesn't like to go alone (incase she falls and can't get up). I want to keep skiing with her so she keeps going, 72 and still skiing strong (but a tad more cautious than when she was younger).

Tacky The Penguin!
Cruz had a little performance at school of the book "Tacky the Penguin". He really enjoys drama and the drama teacher seems really good. He woke up Friday morning saying he was nervous. He looked a little nervous during the program, but he did great. He said he wasn't that nervous once he got to school. I had purchased "Tacky the Penguin" as a gift for him. He enjoyed reading it to me last night, the night after the performance!
The picture above was kind of his "look" during the intro to the program.

Yesterday, the day of Cruz's performance was dad's 37th birthday too. Shawn had gotten up early to go to exercise class, so it was nice he was able to make it to the short performance at school so the kids could see him mid-day. The girls and I had got him a donut and orange juice in a gift bag to give to dad at school. I am dresses kind of sloppy because Grammy and I went skiing right after the program (grammy came to the program too).

Lexi's Birthday!
Lexi's 2nd Birthday fell on Wednesday this year. Wednesday's are kind of busy for us right now because Cruz has Lacrosse practice for about an hour and a half at night. We didn't do too much celebrating for her 2nd birthday on her actual birthday. Grandpa and Grandma Frye were in town last week during her birthday and that night we went to watch Cruz's lacrosse practice (it was warm enough) and the girls played at the park that is close by. After practice we went to Lonestar for tacos. On Thursday both Alegra and Lexi came down with the stomach flu. Luckily we had planned her birthday party to be on Friday night, and by Friday night both girls were feeling better. I ended up ordering Lexi's cake because with both girls throwing up I just didn't feel like baking. Luckily it all worked out. Lexi had a "Minnie Mouse" themed birthday party. We had Grammy and the Raddons over. Uncle Russ was still in St. George but Ali's friend Sharon came because she is staying with Ali to help her during her chemo treatments. We had brats, fruit, chips and guacamole, and birthday cake and ice cream. It was warm enough for the kids to play outside!!
Found this cute outfit that Grammy bought for her!
All the kiddos!
The cake! I ordered from Granite Bakery and when I went to pick it up they thought I ordered it for the next day. I wanted a lemon cake. They didn't have a lemon cake they could make up so we ended up with a marble cake. I thought is was o.k. The decorating was cute but the cake was o.k., I had my tastebuds set for lemon :(!
New scooter!
