A Fun Night at the Park....and then an Ear Infection

Shawn had a massage after work last night so the kids and I went to a park near Shawn's work.  We played at the park for about an hour. It was beautiful out and it was fun to play all together outside.  We drove over to Cous Cous, where we were meeting Shawn at 6:30.  When we got at the restaurant, Lexi started pointing at her ear and saying "ohh".  She has had a terrible cough/cold all week and I actually thought we were in the clear.  Dinner ended up being a nightmare. She started crying and really couldn't stop.  Shawn ate first and then he took Lexi outside while I finished up eating where she proceeded to throw up.  She was crying and having a fit.  I basically drove home as fast as I could, dropped the kids off (Shawn was on his motorcycle) and took her straight to the InstaCare.  She had a double ear infection and was so tired and hurt.  I thought once we got her home and got her the antibiotic she would be fine.  She did go to sleep for about an hour but then she was basically up the next 3 hours in so much pain. I sat in the rocking chair with her but she could hardly get comfortable. She would get comfortable in my arms for about 10 minutes and then thrash. I felt so bad for her.  She finally did fall asleep at about 1 a.m. and slept till 7.  She took a long nap today and seems somewhat better. She still has a yellow nose though and a rough cough.  Lets cross our fingers she has a good night tonight! :)
