Parent Teacher Conference

We had Parent Teacher Conference for Cruz last night.  I was so pleased with what his teacher had to say about Cruz.  She said he is a very considerate little boy. He is especially good with the special needs kids in his class and he also looks out for the needs of the other kids in his class.  I seriously was about to cry when she said that.  He is doing good in school.  His reading has improved. We need to start working on flashcards for addition and subtraction and Cruz could slow down a bit on his work to practice forming his letters correctly.  I loved looking at his journal and reading his phonetically spelled words.  He was so excited to show Shawn all over the school (the teacher was running a bit behind).  He was excited to show us his artwork that was up on the walls.  He was just so happy and excited and it made me so happy to be his mom.  Last conference we took him to dinner (just the 3 of us) while grammy watched the girls. I kind of like being able to spend some alone one on one time with each of the kids. I think it is important and makes them feel special.  Cruz picked "Pie 5" for dinner.  The conference was a little later than we thought so we were all hungry by the time we went to dinner.  I think Cruz felt very loved and special, I hope he did because he is a wonderful boy and I love him more than I can hug and kiss him!!!
