Cruz had so much fun with Uncle Dave this weekend. We went over to the pool on Saturday morning and Cruz would catch the ball as Dave threw it to him in the pool. They did this for almost 30 minutes on a chilly afternoon!

Thanksgiving and SAN FRAN!!!
We ended up picking up Shawn from work at a meeting out on the west side on Tuesday night and then started our drive. We made it all the way to Winnemuca (about 5 hours). We stayed at a Motel 6 and luckily the kids slept great because we were all tired. They got up early because we switched times so our 7 was Nevada's 6 a.m. We grab a yummy breakfast at this cute old fashioned diner and then began driving again. Shawn gets all the driving credit......he did it all!!! We did really well in the morning, and made it all the way to Sacrament California for a late lunch. We ate some Thia food and were on our way, thinking we were making good time. Then some nice lady was leaning out her window while we were driving along pointing to our back tire, sure enough we had a flat. We waited until we found an exit that actually had a tire stop and we ran right into a Toyota dealership. By the time we pulled over our tire was pretty flat. We needed a new tire. Toyota didn't have any tires we wanted but even more of a mini miracle is that there was an America's Tire (Discount Tire) about a half a mile down the street. We needed that place so we could get credit for our Tires not wearing as well as they should have, and then our new tires weren't as expensive. Anyway, they were pretty fast, the whole ordeal only took a little longer than 2 hours which is pretty amazing for the night of a holiday weekend in busy California. We got back on the road by 5 and made it to Rebecca and David's apartment by 6:30 p.m.
Lexi LOVED talking to this little doggy in the car!
Watching a movie with her "bun" in her hair.
Poor Cruz was pretty smushed in the back on the way out there. We brought Rebecca as much baby stuff from our house that we could possibly fit in the minivan.
Cute face after powder donut treat!
Our Tire pit stop in Tracy California!
David and Shawn went surfing on Thanksgiving morning. It was a beautiful day and David took him to a nice break. They did actually see a fin in the water so Shawn and David decided to paddle in. Luckily they got some surfing done before the fin showed up :).
We also got a little swimming in before our yummy feast!
Rebecca and her baby belly. She is almost 6 months along and looking great. It was fun to feel the baby girl kick too!

Game night after dinner
Lexi was pretending Cruz was a doggy. I seriously think she thought he was a dog. It was so funny! Lexi has a funny personality. She has no personal space issues and likes to stick her fingers in ears and kiss your face like crazy.
Rebecca and mom!
A beautiful walk on Stanford campus after Thanksgiving dinner!
On Friday we had tickets to go to Alcatraz and spend the day in the city.
Alcatraz
Golden Gate Bridge
Grammy giving her famous mints! The Alcatraz tour was awesome. So informative and pretty cool!
After the tour we went to Boudin Bread Company for lunch. It was extremely crowded in the city, "Black Friday". Luckily Alcatraz wasn't bad because there are limited tourists but the rest of the day was a little crazy.
We rode a double decker bus after lunch to get our way around the city.
Lexi was loving this sucker on the bus tour
and this piece of wipe. She likes to talk to her little things she makes, it is pretty funny!
They were also lighting the Christmas tree in Union Square. It was so fun to see, but busy!!
We went to the Nike store that was right across from Union Square. That was pretty amazing for Cruz!
After Union Square we walked over to where the Trolley car was supposed to take off from but they stopped running them because all of the festivities going on in Union Square. I was pretty bummed that the kids didn't ride on the trolley, something for next time. We walked to one of the stops that the double decker bus supposed to stop at but because of all the traffic after about a half an hour no bus showed up. We were outside China town and wanted to make it to Ghiradelli Square. We ended up hoping in a cab.
We made it the Ghiradelli square hoping to get an ice cream sundae but they were lighting a Christmas tree in that little square too and there were tons of crowds and lines too. We decided at that point it was just time to go back to the car. We had a fun time in the city and for being "Black Friday" we did end up seeing some of the city!
Saturday we kind of just chilled. We went back to the pool for more fun. On Saturday it wasn't as warm but that didn't seem to bother the kids!
After swimming we had to have our "missed" sundaes from the day before so we went to this cute diner in Palo Alto for a treat! I love those old fashioned diners. Then we went to the Stanford mall to walk around a bit and take Alegra to her first American Girl doll store. She was in heaven and had to look at every square inch of the place. It was fun to watch her experience it. We went to the apartment and loaded up our stuff and then went to a nice early dinner before starting our drive back home. Went to Los Alto Grill for a yummy dinner. Also, we were able to stay in Rebecca and David's friends apartment who live right next door to Rebecca and David. They went out of town for the holiday and it worked so perfect. It was nice and fun to be so close. Grammy stayed on Rebecca and David's pull out so it all worked out. We decided to start driving on Saturday night because it called for rain, which meant snow on Donnors Pass. We made it 4 hours to Reno. I was so glad we left. I really didn't want to because I wanted our trip to last longer but the roads today in parts were not that great and it would have made today's drive brutal if we had not broken it up.
On a "people mover" in "Circus Circus" to take us to our room last night!Early this morning in front of the lobby Christmas tree!
This picture is funny@
Car ride home!
McDonalds lunch - a must stop at because they wanted the penguin toys in the happy meal
