Boondocks!!

This morning we met Cruz's summer book group at Granite Park.  Bridget Grim, Dempsey's mom, organized it.  Rex Heaton, Rex Baxter, Dempsey, and us all go with the moms and additional siblings.  The last two weeks they read 2 Magic Tree House books about Leonardo Da Vinci.  Both were very interesting.  Cruz will start Encyclopedia Brown: Super Sleuth soon, for our next morning book club in 2 weeks. I am so glad Bridget organized this. It definitely helps with trying to finish books!!  After Book club, Dempsey came over to play.  On our way down to Macy's Kids Camp, I took Dempsey home.  All 3 kids are at Macy's 2 hour camp everyday this week from 1-3.  It has been nice for me to try and get stuff accomplished.  After Kids camp, we headed over to Boondocks. It it a fun center with Mini Golf, Bumper Boats, Go Karts, and an arcade area.  We had never been there before. The kids got all their balls into the "yes mom, I'd love to jar" (60 balls) and this is the activity they chose to do for accomplishing that goal.  I bought them 1 activity and then arcade tokens.  The activity they chose was the bumper boats. The girls and I went in one and Cruz went in another.  There were other people in the other bumper boats, but we basically battled each other.  Cruz soaked us!!!! It was pretty fun!!
