Bell Canyon

Alegra, Cruz, and I hiked Bell Canyon yesterday. The 2 older kids have been asking to hike it for a few weeks now, but it has been so hot this summer I was waiting. Yesterday the timing worked great. Grandma Raddon was around to watch Lexi so we could go. We took Lexi over to Grammy's house and I thought for a second maybe I should drive around to the easier side to hike, but then I decided not too. I really didn't think they would be able to make it up to the lake. We hiked the side by Grammy's house, it is shorter than the other side but a lot steeper. I took the backpack to carry Alegra but she never went in it. I said to Alegra on the hike, "you are my little rock climber!" She said to me, "no, I am not, I am a spider!" She crawled (on the steep parts) and walked on the less steep stuff and we made it. Cruz would run ahead and name places. Like "rock valley". When Alegra was crawling on a steep section she stopped to pick up this tiny piece of fusia thread to give to me. I thought that was pretty funny! I am so proud of my little hikers. Too bad I didn't have my phone with me to take a picture, next time :)
