THRUSH

So Lexi and I have thrush. It is a painful yeast infection that babies or moms contract thru nursing. Poor Lexi has blister like lesions in her mouth. For me, it is extremely uncomfortable to nurse, I finally put 2 and 2 together, called the doctor, and was told it was THRUSH. There is an over the counter cure for it called Gention Violet. The nurse told me I could find it at Walgreens or Rite Aid. It is a very purple ointment that you swab in the babies mouth. I was busy helping Rebecca take furniture to Provo and decided I would pick some up on the way home. I went to the first Walgreens at about 8:40 p.m., they didn't have it. I proceeded to stop at 2 other Walgreens and had Shawn calling from home to find the stuff. Finally, this morning I found it at a Rite Aid not too far away. Lexi's mouth was extremely purple all day today! I think it has already started working though.
