Fun Friday

Friday is short day at Cruz's school and it is also school spirit day! On Fridays in September they are doing something fun as well. This past Friday was "crazy hair" day. Cruz was very excited to wear his new school shirt and have a green mohawk for his hair. He was super excited to go.

Alegra decided to that she needed something funky, so she wore her goggles around the house (kind of typical for Alegra). She has a nice rug burn on her check from hitting the stairs the night before. She worries me because she is kind of clutsy and hurts herself often!

We were leaving for Idaho right after school, so we decided to make a sign to cheer daddy in from his race.

I drove up to Idaho Friday afternoon/evening by myself. We needed to eat dinner in Idaho Falls and I really didn't know where to stop that I could handle them all by myself and Cruz wanted fish and Alegra wanted Mac n Cheese. I decided to go to this old pancake house my Grandma Toliver used to take us to when we would visit her in Idaho Falls....Good ol' Smitty's. It was such a flashback for me. It looked the same as when we used to go there. And as luck would have it, on their kids menus they had fish 'n chips and mac n cheese. I got an omelette. It was easy to be served too rather than waiting in line to go thru somewhere. Anyway, it went pretty smooth and then the bill came and I couldn't figure it out, it was so cheap. I found out on Friday nights kids meals were .99 cents. That made it even better. With the kids meals they got 2 sides and both kids got mashed potatoes and gravy. My kids love that, so they were in hog heaven!
