Great Conversation

So, we were sitting down and eating dinner tonight when out of the blue Cruz says, "You know I have a crush on someone." Shawn says, "What is her name?" Cruz says, "I don't remember." Then about 10 seconds later (I could tell he was thinking) he says, "Paige". So Shawn said, "Do you sit by her?" He said yes. Then Shawn asked what color hair she had and he said, "bright". Shawn then asked is that blonde, yellow, brown, black. He said blonde. I asked Cruz if he liked to play with her. Then came the saddest response (for me as his mom). "No, she doesn't like me." Then Shawn said well just keep being a nice good boy and be a good friend to her. It was so cute!! I think he has a thing for blonde girls because last year he really liked this little blonde girl named Anne. I can't wait to meet Paige in October when I go in to volunteer in the classroom!
