Sunday Night Camping Dinner

I don't know why we haven't done this sooner, but Shawn prepared foil dinners for tonight and we took them up to Tanners Flat Campground to grill out.  It was a little chilly but it was fun. The kids and I had a fun time hiking around while Shawn cooked the food over the fire. He prepared fish, carrots, beats, and we made tacos out of the things. They were really yummy and the kids ate really good.  We of course had s'mores for dessert!

Dad even set up the hammock!

 Getting the fire going
Lexi is really into "wanting" to be in this backpack. The minute we walk out to the garage she points at it and says, "backpack"!!

Shawn's ingenious way to cook the food so we didn't burn it.

 Love them!

Shawn needed a really big rock to hold one of the handles and Cruz went out and found one!

Then Lexi offered Shawn a rock to help too!

 And so did Alegra!
 Hiking in the woods!

 S'more time!  Lexi's first experience eating a s'more.

Very fun night!

BYU vs. UTAH FOOTBALL GAME

This game is a huge rivalry game in Utah.  Shawn and I got to go to the game with my mom, Russ, Ali, Macy, Grant, and Walt.  It was a fun game to be at. Unfortunately, BYU did not win.  That was kind of a bummer, but I have to say, it was fun to be there!
Thought this was cool, the band spelled BYU!

Me and My Hotty!

Saturday Soccer Games

Cruz and Alegra both had a soccer game on Saturday at 11. I kind of like it because they play at the same place on different fields, but then we are done with soccer sooner on that day.  Shawn and I switch off watching them. They are both pretty cute.  Alegra had to play her entire game because they didn't have any subs.  Cruz gets easily distracted, but I am glad he is willing to try.

I love Alegra's shorts that are almost down to her ankles!  Cruz ran around in his game with the shorts tie string around his neck, think next game we will wear our own shorts!!

Friday Afternoons

I love Friday afternoons, especially when they are warm fall Friday afternoons. It was such a pleasure just to play with the kids and watch them play in the backyard after school.  The temperature was perfect, they were playing so good, and it was just amazing.  One of those moments I just want to bottle up!!!
I think one of the reasons I love it is because Cruz gets home earlier (short day) and we are not rushing to read or make dinner or run to an activity!

What a cute construction worker!!
