P2P Park City

Shawn rode Park City Point 2 Point Race yesterday. It was a 75 mile mountain bike race with 14, 000 feet elevation gain.  He took him just over 9 hours. I was so impressed by his perseverance.  The day was hot and when we saw him at Park City Mountain Resort at mile 50, his legs were cramping some.  He stopped for about 5 minutes at that rest stop to eat a few bites of a subway, drink some water and Coke, and eat a Snickers bar.  He looked good as he came in at the Canyons Resort right around 4 p.m. to finish the ride.
Waiting for dad to come in at Park City Mountain Resort
 Here he comes!

 Quick break at mile 50

 Finishing up at the Canyons

Nothing like a little mini golf after riding 75 miles.
The kids were great yesterday. Sometimes race days make for a long day for the kiddos but they did good. Lexi is a little sick so she wasn't her happiest self, but she still was pretty good!
The kids looked so cute in their matching jerseys to Shawn's.  We stayed the night at the Canyons Resort. It was fun to go in the hot tub and swimming after the race.  There was also a concert in the center area that night so we grabbed pizza and hung out at the Canyons.  It was a fun little mini vacation.
