Rebecca and David's Wedding-Bridal Luncheon

THURSDAY MAY 17th - Rebecca and David's wedding was amazing.  I will try to get some of the details down, but the whole thing was just awesome.  The festivites started Thursday afternoon with a Bridal Lunch.  Rebecca had lots of showers before this time but the sister in laws wanted to put on something a little special right before her wedding. Basically this was for family and a few friends that came in from out of town (that weren't able to attend any other showers).  Ladies in attendance: Naomi, me, Karen Carpenter McMinn (who flew into town for the wedding), K Carpenter, mom, Aunt Susie, Katie, Katie's mom, Aunt Penny, Shawnee (who came into town for the wedding), Wendy, Ali, Ali's mom, Jody and Jenny Holmes (2 Chicago friends who flew into town for the wedding), Nicole (David's Sister in Law), Heather (David's sister), David's mom, and Rebecca.  It was such a lovely lunch.  Unfortunately I started feeling not too great a little before it and at it. I just plugged thru it but I didn't eat too much!
We all told how we knew Rebecca and I got emotional. For some reason it just hit me that my little sister was getting married! It was fun to be able to get to talk to everyone on a little smaller scale than at the wedding. I hope Rebecca enjoyed this. I thought is was very nice. Ali basically organized it and all the sister in laws and me are slitting the expense. We had it at a room in the Lion House. I thought the food was good and it was a nice room and we could hear well.

Ellie was babysitting the kids at home. Ryan stuck around to help since she had 6 kids.  Cruz, Alegra, and Lexi, and then Mia, Sasha, and Isla.  Ryan and Naomi stayed at our house (and arrived late the night before) because Jody and Jenny (the 2 Chicago friends) were staying at mom's home. Rebecca had tons of friends come in from out of town, it was pretty amazing.  Two more from the Chicago area, several from California, Karen from Virginia, it was pretty incredible.  It was a pretty warm day and Russ had called to say their pool was open. Ryan decided to take the 5 older kids, Lexi was sleeping to the pool.  He stopped at Costa Vida first and feed them, and then took them swimming. I was pretty impressed. When Naomi and I got home from the lunch they were back home feed and alive! :)  The kids wanted to make Snow Cones so we got out the snow cone machine!

I was still feeling pretty crummy and seemed to be getting worse. I was achy all over.  The kids were really good and played outside and a little miracle, Lexi went down for a nap. I just layed in bed and said little prayers. I didn't want to be sick for Rebecca's wedding and I didn't want to get her or David sick or my mom.  It helped being able to lay down for a couple of hours.  Shawn got home and I got the kids ready to go to the Night Before Dinner.
