THURSDAY (MAY 17th) - I was feeling somewhat better but still had very little energy. Shawn luckily drove down and I tried to gear up. I tried not to get close to anyone especially David and Rebecca. I had contemplated on not going, but I didn't want to miss out on a single thing. Once I started talking to people and kind of got my mind of myself I seemed to be better. I was still careful and didn't eat too much, stuck with the starchy stuff (I did have the runs earlier in the day). David's family had the dinner at the Blue Lemon in Alpine. We had this private room upstairs just for our party. It was really nice. It was our family and David's family-his sister Heather, Matt, Jackson (9), Owen (7), and Nora (1). David's brother Kevin, Nicole, a boy that I can't remember his name (5), Kate (almost 3), and Paige (18 months). David does have another brother in Hawaii that hurt his back and couldn't make it out, his name is Cory and he is married and has 2 kids. David's parents were there of course too, David and Maryann Jackson. We ate and then told stories of our sibling. I really have a terrible memory. I couldn't remember hardly any stories of Rebecca at the time. I told how she used to wet her socks when she she was getting ready. I also told about how dad would yell out to her on the basketball court to "drive". I forgot the peeing in the corner story that Russ reminded me of after the party. It was a nice dinner but I was ready to get home and go straight to bed. I had to turn my eyes off the house because it looked like a bomb hit it, but I just didn't have the energy to pick it up. I just wanted to feel 100 percent for tomorrow.
