We left on a red eye at 11:30 p.m. on Friday October 11th. The only bummer about that was that Ryan played a show in a parking lot down in Provo for BYU students and we had to miss it (I didn't know about it when I booked the tickets). We landed at BMI (Baltimore Maryland airport) at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday October 12th. We were tired and decided to just get an uber to our hotel in Alexandria, Virginia. Shawn was smart and booked us for the night before so we could go right in to the hotel, check in, and sleep for 4 hours. That was a life saver. We got super cheap tickets to BMI so that's why we flew in there. It was about a 30 minute drive to Alexandria, so not terrible. When we woke up we found a fun Acai bowl place in Alexandria to grab food and then we went to Mount Vernon. My plan was to ride bikes along the Potomac (about 9 miles) to Mount Vernon but our ticket entry time was getting close and we couldn't figure out if the city bikes could go as far as Mount Vernon and if we could lock them up or not.

After Mount Vernon we came back to the hotel and then walked to downtown Alexandria for dinner. It was such a hoping town and so cute with the brick streets and very eastern feel.
We loved Alexandria!
