Friday October 18th - last day in NYC. We had a 9:30 a.m. ticket for the kids to go up to the top of One Vanderbilt. Shawn and I decided to not go up because it was expensive and we thought we could save money here.
Walked through Grand Central Station to get over to One Vanderbilt. A cool market in Grand Central.Grand Central is beautiful
Summit tickets
At the Top!
Shawn and I walked around while the kids were at the Top. Great view of the Chrysler building. After the spent about an hour and a half at One Vanderbilt we took the subway to Canal Street. Cruz wanted to get a fake wallet. We loved that area too. The street sellers had just been raided by the cops so we had to wait a bit for them to move and set up again.
We then walked into the Soho area again and shopped at Zara and Brandy again. Then we picked up tacos at Los Tacos. They were so good and you eat standing.
Then we found Glossier - a makeup store that Alegra was in heaven in.
So excited for her purchase.
Walking from the Soho area by NYU to Washington Square. A gospel choir was practicing in the square.
A vintage store in Greenwich Village areaQuaint Greenwich Village
These cool elephants in the meat packing district that we stumbled upon. There were 100 of these elephants.
Highline
The Highline ended at the Vessel and Brooklyn Yards
Shopping at Aritzia for a little break to walking - huge parka!
Hudson Yards
Walked up to Hell's Kitchen area from Hudson Yard and ate dinner at an Italian place called Nitti's.
Kept walking up thru Time Square to see one last time before we went home.
This billboard popped up in Time Square
Ice Cream at Van Leewen in Grand Central Station when we walked through it to go to our hotelStopped at Zefr (which has a suite in this building) that was just around the block from our hotel. Had to send this picture to Rich.
