After our gingerbread decorating party the kids were ready to hit the slopes. We got lots of snow Friday night/Saturday. Shawn decided to take Cruz up first by himself so he could take him on a harder run than Chickadee and then the plan was he was going to come back for Alegra. Alegra LOVES to ski and she is doing really well. She got all her gear on and I kept saying I didn't think he would be home for a while. She walked around the house with her ninja mask and helmet on for at least a half an hour and then she said her head was getting sweaty....she kills me. She finally gave up and laid down on the couch and fell asleep. I think the boys were having lots of fun because they didn't leave too much time for her to ski, but they did come back for her. Cruz stayed at home with Lexi and I and Alegra went up to Snowbird with dad for some runs on Chickadee. By the time they got home it was time for our wards Christmas party. We ran over there for some dinner, Christmas songs, and an appearance by Santa. Some of my church parties growing up are my fondest memories of Christmas time. Alegra, Cruz, and Lexi had a fun time. Alegra has come A LONG WAY with Santa too. She even sat on his lap, that is HUGE! She has been so scared of him for the past 2 years! All in all it was a wonderful day! I can't help to think it was so wonderful because I am so grateful I have my babies to hug and kiss on today. My thoughts keep turning to those families in Connecticut that don't have their babies to LOVE on today. My thoughts and prayers are with those people it is unimaginable what they must be going thru......I have LOVED on my babies a little bit more and have been a little bit more grateful for them today!
