Hogle Zoo Lights 2012

We went to zoo lights tonight. It was a little chilly (actually about average temp. for Utah, but it has been so warm lately that it felt chilly). We timed it just right though. We got there at about 5:05 and they weren't open yet (I didn't know they had a different opening time from zoo hours) but we walked right in at 5:30 and there weren't that many people there yet. We were just saying, "let's head for the exit," when it went dark in the whole zoo. We quickly walked out of the zoo while people and staff were wondering what to do. I am not sure what happened, if they got the lights back on or if they had to refund everyone. We saw all the lights and made it out, yippee!! We went for pizza at Este afterwards. We all had a fun filled day. Basketball in the morning for Cruz (it is so cute to watch), a Costco run for mom, then when I got home Dad took Cruz and Alegra up skiing, and then off to Zoo lights and pizza. Doesn't get much better!

Cruz was really into having his picture taken tonight. We were kind of cold so we kept trying to get him to move along, but then I decided we shouldn't squelch his desire for photos, I love when he cooperates for me!
