The kids had fun on Wednesday thinking of April fool's day jokes. I went into the bathroom in the morning to find this cute note Lexi had made on the bathroom sink!
Alegra pranked her siblings (with dads help) putting toothpaste in between Oreos. Lexi fell for it but Cruz knew right away when Alegra gave him an area :).
I have to say the best was this one by Cruz. He had taken a dump in the toilet and then put nutella in his underwear and left them on the toilet seat. I went into the bathroom when he was on a FaceTime piano lesson and was like, "what the!!!!" I finally realized it had to be a prank but then I went and got Shawn and video'd his and Alegra's reaction. It is a classic video. He thought it was real too. I love Cruz but he tends to not really think about what he is or isn't doing and this would be so something he would do if he actually pooped his pants, so it was totally believable.
We are loving Olive at the time of being home all day. She is getting lots of attention and walks and she is such a good doggy!
Crepes yesterday morning for breakfast, yummy! With being home lots, I am making full meals each meal. Some days are better than others but my waistline is definitely telling me I am eating lots. Just trying to exercise each day to keep it under control. Love spending this time with my family though.
HOMESCHOOLING!
At the Beginning of March we did this month long contest, March Kindness. We have done something similar every March to go along with the March Madness basketball tournament. Little did we know that March would be turned upside down by Coronavirus. No March Madness, No school, no spring break, no Mexico, no lots of stuff. But, hopefully we will be stronger as a family as we have had more time to talk about Heavenly Father and Jesus, think about the restoration, think about Easter, play games, spend time together, go on walks, write in our journals, play basketball tournaments, cook, do puzzles, and so much more together time. Not all of it has been peachy, there have been fights and tension, but hopefully we are learning patience, kindness, to love each other, to love the Lord. The kids were suppose to get 100 stickers on the poster for kind things that Shawn and I observed. In a normal March that would have been hard because they would have been not home that much but with being home most of March, they were able to work together to get 100 stickers. So they each got $30 last night.
