The below picture is so funny to me. The girls are holding their antler they found (they did not/do not know dad planted them) and Cruz is holding NOTHING because he didn't find an antler this hike. Olive brought an antler to him the last time we were up at the hike all together though. See the skull attached to Lexi's antler, gross!
We have been highlighting what Jesus was doing each of these days as we lead up to Easter. Yesterday, he would have gone to the Temple after he had cleansed the Temple on Monday and taught the people. He taught in parables so those that were ready could understand a deeper meaning of the story. We talked about the 2 great commandments - loving the Lord God with all thy might, mind, and strength, and loving they neighbor. We talked about how we could try to Serve someone. The girls decided to "heart attack" our neighbors Dave, Carrie, and Grammy. It was a good way in quarantine to show love without touching.
Today, Wednesday we talked about how Jesus had gone back to the Temple to teach. We also focused on some people that were important in the story of Easter week. Joseph and Nicodeums prepared Jesus body in fine linen and fine muir (or fragrances). They way they handled his body with such respect. It was a good reminder to Cruz to handle that sacrament that way and a good reminder to the girls and I why we dress nice and show respect in our church building, we are all there to reflect on the death and resurrection of our Savior-and we bring our finest!!!
