Alegra dressed Olive up in her BYU cheerleading outfit. It was pretty funny!
We did a little Easter Egg hunt yesterday for Grandma Frye. She had sent the kids $10 dollars but wanted a hunt to find the money. Shawn and I had put 1 penny in each egg and hid 10 eggs each kid i n the backyard. We FaceTimed Grandma Frye when the kids were hunting. Luckily it was pretty nice outside!
We dyed easter eggs yesterday. It was fun to be all together dying our eggs. We only had brown eggs so I knew they wouldn't be as pretty but they worked. During this time when we are trying to only go to the grocery story every few weeks, it will have to do!
Luckily the Easter bunny was prepared. The Easter bunny knew we were supposed to be in Mexico, getting home late last night so had purchased basket stuff well in advance of Easter. That helped so much, since this is probably considered non essential stuff.
Cruz got some underwear, new dress pants, a new bow tie, markers, and candy. The girls got some art and sewing stuff, new Easter dresses, and candy.
Lexi was sad there wasn't a transformer in her basket but she eventually cheered up!
Writing notes to the doctors and nurses that will be going to the IMC respiratory care facility.
This picture below is the reason for Easter. Yes, the egg hunts and dying the eggs are fun but Jesus Christ is the reason we celebrate. Today in our church meeting at home we reviewed some of Pres. Hinckleys words about Easter he gave during General Conference several years ago. We CAN have hope, peace, and comfort because He was resurrected. He suffered all that we will ever suffer so we can turn to Him and be helped and forgiven. I am so grateful that I truly have a relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know Jesus lived and still lives today. I know he suffered for my sins. I hope and pray as my kids get older they will seek out a relationship -get to know Jesus Christ and realize how blessed we are because of Him. Seek out His voice-hear Him!!!!
